Tim Butler: Founder & CEO

The future of a business
is shaped by what its
leaders do today.

I’m Tim Butler. I’ve led organizations on a nationwide scale, working shoulder to shoulder with leadership and frontline teams to strengthen performance, develop leaders, and turn strategy into results.

Why I built DeRose

Success can hide the very things that threaten it.

A strong quarter can coexist with exhausted people. Growth can conceal inconsistent execution. A busy leadership team can still be pulling in different directions.

I’ve led organizations on a nationwide scale with a hands-on approach. I’ve worked directly with management teams and frontline employees, connecting executive decisions to what happens in the field, in the customer experience, and in the daily work of the business.

I founded DeRose to bring that executive operating perspective to owners and leadership teams. I understand the responsibility of making decisions that affect people, customers, and financial performance and the challenge of building consistency across an organization while keeping it moving.

I bring a whole-business view and a hands-on approach to execution. I work alongside leaders to identify the constraints, align the team around the priorities, and carry decisions into the daily routines and accountability that move performance forward.

The conviction behind DeRose

Better businesses are built when strategy, people, and daily execution move as one.

How I work

The hard part isn’t seeing
that something is wrong.
It’s knowing where to begin.

Leading organizations on a nationwide scale requires more than a strong plan. It requires capable leaders, clear expectations, and consistent execution across markets. That is the perspective I bring to DeRose engagements.

Find the real constraint.

Examine financial performance alongside frontline execution, customer experience, productivity, and management discipline.

Have the conversation that matters.

Clarify priorities, strengthen accountability, and develop leaders who can translate direction into consistent action.

Turn the decision into action.

Strengthen the leadership routines, accountability, and operating systems that support consistent performance across teams, markets, and locations nationwide.

Author of What Lies Beneath

What happens when no one names the problem?

That question sits at the heart of What Lies Beneath, my leadership story about the invisible rules, tolerated behaviors, and quiet compromises that shape a company from within.

What is your business
trying to tell you?

If the results and the reality no longer tell the same story, let’s talk about what you’re seeing and where to begin.
